A belated Turkey for Christmas
I've always found one of the best ways of beating the post-holiday blues is to ensure I have another holiday booked....and Turkey has been somewhere I've wanted to go for a long time!
So...this is the next big trip on the list after Morocco...a two-week birthday present to myself :-).
Welcome to my blog! When my parents first introduced my brother and I to international travel over 15 years ago, they triggered in me a desire to travel as far and wide as possible. From family road trips and organised tours, to independent travel, alone, and with friends and colleagues, I've since had the pleasure of visiting over 45 countries on 6 continents. The Still-To-Do list remains ever-long - Antarctica and South America are high on the list. I'm passionate about travelling, photography and food, and this blog brings together my ramblings about my favourite things. Please feel free to share your comments on the blog, or you can contact me by email.
"The traveler was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes "sight-seeing." ~Daniel J. Boorstin
